Psalms 1
(Ps 1:1 [AKJV])
Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
(Ps 1:2 [AKJV])
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night.
(Ps 1:3 [AKJV])
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
(Ps 1:4 [AKJV])
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
(Ps 1:5 [AKJV])
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
(Ps 1:6 [AKJV])
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Psalms 2

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
(Ps 2:3 [AKJV])
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
(Ps 2:4 [AKJV])
He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
(Ps 2:5 [AKJV])
Then shall he speak to them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
(Ps 2:6 [AKJV])
Yet have I set my king on my holy hill of Zion.
(Ps 2:7 [AKJV])
I will declare the decree: the LORD has said to me, You are my Son; this day have I begotten you.
(Ps 2:8 [AKJV])
Ask of me, and I shall give you the heathen for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.
(Ps 2:9 [AKJV])
You shall break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
(Ps 2:10 [AKJV])
Be wise now therefore, O you kings: be instructed, you judges of the earth.
(Ps 2:11 [AKJV])
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Psalms 3
(Ps 3:1 [AKJV])
Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
(Ps 3:3 [AKJV])
But you, O LORD, are a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head.
(Ps 3:4 [AKJV])
I cried to the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
(Ps 3:5 [AKJV])
I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
(Ps 3:6 [AKJV])
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
(Ps 3:7 [AKJV])
Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for you have smitten all my enemies on the cheek bone; you have broken the teeth of the ungodly.
(Ps 3:8 [AKJV])
Salvation belongs to the LORD: your blessing is on your people. Selah.
Psalms 4
(Ps 4:1 [AKJV])
Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: you have enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
(Ps 4:2 [AKJV])
O you sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into shame? how long will you love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
(Ps 4:3 [AKJV])
But know that the LORD has set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call to him.
(Ps 4:4 [AKJV])
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.
(Ps 4:5 [AKJV])
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
(Ps 4:6 [AKJV])
There be many that say, Who will show us any good? LORD, lift you up the light of your countenance on us.
(Ps 4:7 [AKJV])
You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
(Ps 4:8 [AKJV])
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, LORD, only make me dwell in safety.
Psalms 5
(Ps 5:1 [AKJV])
Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
(Ps 5:2 [AKJV])
Listen to the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for to you will I pray.
(Ps 5:3 [AKJV])
My voice shall you hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer to you, and will look up.
(Ps 5:4 [AKJV])
For you are not a God that has pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with you.
(Ps 5:5 [AKJV])
The foolish shall not stand in your sight: you hate all workers of iniquity.
(Ps 5:6 [AKJV])
You shall destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
(Ps 5:7 [AKJV])
But as for me, I will come into your house in the multitude of your mercy: and in your fear will I worship toward your holy temple.

Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before my face.
(Ps 5:9 [AKJV])
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter with their tongue.

Destroy you them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against you.
(Ps 5:11 [AKJV])
But let all those that put their trust in you rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them: let them also that love your name be joyful in you.

For you, LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor will you compass him as with a shield.
Proverbs 1
(Prov 1:1 [AKJV])
The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
(Prov 1:2 [AKJV])
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
(Prov 1:3 [AKJV])
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
(Prov 1:4 [AKJV])
To give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
(Prov 1:5 [AKJV])
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain to wise counsels:
(Prov 1:6 [AKJV])
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
(Prov 1:7 [AKJV])
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
(Prov 1:8 [AKJV])
My son, hear the instruction of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother:
(Prov 1:9 [AKJV])
For they shall be an ornament of grace to your head, and chains about your neck.
(Prov 1:10 [AKJV])
My son, if sinners entice you, consent you not.
(Prov 1:11 [AKJV])
If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privately for the innocent without cause:

Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:

We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:

Cast in your lot among us; let us all have one purse:

My son, walk not you in the way with them; refrain your foot from their path:

For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.

And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privately for their own lives.

So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which takes away the life of the owners thereof.

Wisdom cries without; she utters her voice in the streets:

She cries in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she utters her words, saying,
(Prov 1:22 [AKJV])
How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit to you, I will make known my words to you.
(Prov 1:24 [AKJV])
Because I have called, and you refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
(Prov 1:25 [AKJV])
But you have set at nothing all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
(Prov 1:26 [AKJV])
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear comes;
(Prov 1:27 [AKJV])
When your fear comes as desolation, and your destruction comes as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish comes on you.
(Prov 1:28 [AKJV])
Then shall they call on me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
(Prov 1:29 [AKJV])
For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
(Prov 1:30 [AKJV])
They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
(Prov 1:31 [AKJV])
Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
(Prov 1:32 [AKJV])
For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
(Prov 1:33 [AKJV])
But whoever listens to me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
