What about Church? . . . or . . . church?

It’s not about church, it’s about Jesus Christ. That is first and foremost.

1) Without getting our relationship with and focus on Jesus Christ right, nothing else will ever be right.

2) The bible is second, we must read, and become saturated with the Word of God. In the volume of the book it written of Me said Jesus Christ through the prophet Psalmist and the scribe who wrote Hebrews, (which I believe was Paul).

If we get those two right, everything else will be right. You can not be right with Christ and wrong about Church but you can be right with church and wrong with Christ. In this post, I use Church and church intentionally. One capitalized and one not. Church, capitalized is the true Church and church, not capitalized, is man’s church or one’s false notion of what Church is.

One can survey the New Testament and leave no stone un-turned. We can fashion a church exactly as we see it in the letters, or even in the book of Acts and still be as dead and fake as can be.

However, if we are sanctified, consecrated and led by the Holy Spirit, we will be approved of God irrespective of the opinions of men.

So whether one “goes to church” or doesn’t is not the measure nor is man the one who measures but the measure is being led by the Spirit of God and God does the measuring, that is, the approval and disapproval belongs to the Lord.

There is no guarantee that the Church of the last days will look like the Church of the letters, or the Church of the book of Acts. We can not go by external pattern. Christ is the only pattern. The Old Testament types looked toward Christ and we look at Christ as the only pattern of conduct, not external things which anyone can counterfeit. We are transformed by Christ, not by church. Look at tongues for example, one of, if not the most counterfeited gifts of the Spirit today. How many validate your experience by the external measure of tongues? Not good.

I would love to have a Church where the men of God were like Peter James and John. I would easily submit myself to these men as they have the Spirit of God wherewith to evaluate me and affirm or disapprove of this and that, knowing that they have my sanctification and the glory of Christ foremost in their heart concerning me and not mere attendance and a propping up of some “church”.

Like I said in the past, 11 bay area Pastors laid hands on me, accepting me into the ministry, having recognized the unmistakable work of Christ in me. Yet, I never could belong to any one church but I was accepted as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ by those in the church who knew Christ. I know this confuses and angers some people but too bad, it is what it is and it is of Christ. There are some members of the Body of Christ in many of these churches where the “leadership”, oppresses and hinders the saints. They will answer for it. They think God will not see but He sees all and will deal with all.

The Church is a people, not a system or an organization. It is an organism. The Church is the body of Christ, made up of those who are born again. Christ adds to His Church as He sees fit. We are a member of the Body of Christ by virtue of the fact that we first have been joined to Him which is the Head. If you are born again, you are a member of the Church which is HIS Body, period.

The local Church is made up of those who are Christ’s and there is only ONE local Church.

Today we have a situation where there can be 27 different churches in one city with 27 different headquarters from 27 different places in the United States, making it impossible and in many case not permissible to have true unity. What unity we do see most propagated, is some poisoned version of ecumenicism birthed out of the Charismatic Ecumenical renewal of the early 1950s from which has spawned this cult of personalities and bolstering of this false notion of the separation of clergy and laity; this idea that there are some anointed men of God and the rest of us need to get our food and transferred anointing from them. These churches should absolutely be closed down.

How do we repent from this super-denominationalism without repenting from it? Men will say that to repent from it is too difficult and impossible. The last time we were at such a juncture, God flooded the world saving eight souls only. I wouldn’t be too insistent on the idea that repenting is so impossible. God is able, if we had our focus on Him and not on men, we would see that. “And Jesus looking on them said, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible”.

Nothing but nothing can stop God from bringing true saints together and nothing but nothing can keep the true saints from gathering together, that’s what they do and the ones that tend to stray are gathered up by the strong ones. Not all go the distance though and that’s just the way it is. Some run for a while and then turn away.

As long as Christians are Christ centered and meeting together anywhere and at anytime, the Church has commenced. We are “called out ones” who have a common fellowship in Jesus Christ by the Spirit of God. Let us be mindful that Christ is first and foremost and no one who walks in obedience and the love of the Spirit is in rebellion to God. External measures will lead to a superficiality, bringing us into a false comfort on our way to hell.

As crazy as it may sound to the mind of man, maybe we should should shut down man’s floundering and rebellious facade and get back to Jesus Christ from which all good things flow.

Again, I don’t know how we can repent if we do not repent. There is only ONE Church in a city not 12, not 22, not 27, 35 or 50, but ONE. It is not recognized by any names of man but by Christ since He is the one who builds it.

Better to be chosen by Christ and rejected of men than to fit oneself into man’s church and be accepted of men while not really knowing Christ, or rebelling against Him as we are forced to compromise if we will be under some feigned Pastor/hireling of which there are so many. Unfortunately this is what is happening most of the time out here.

It has become so bad that I have heard people say things like, “then where will you be fed?”, or “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, so if you don’t go to church how will that happen?”. People identify and label us by questions like, “what church do you belong to?”. When we answer, “the Church that Jesus Christ builds”, they get confused and mad. That should not be. We have been way too indoctrinated on this church thing when we should have been taught Christ.

My Conclusion is that if the church is not the Church, it needs to be shut down. It won’t happen, but it sure would be good if it did.

(Matthew 13:36 [AKJV])
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came to him, saying, Declare to us the parable of the tares of the field.

(Matthew 13:37 [AKJV])
He answered and said to them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man;

(Matthew 13:38 [AKJV])
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

(Matthew 13:39 [AKJV])
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

(Matthew 13:40 [AKJV])
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

(Matthew 13:41 [AKJV])
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

(Matthew 13:42 [AKJV])
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

(Matthew 13:43 [AKJV])
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
